Turn every releaseinto a launch.

Screenshot Studio reads what you shipped, writes a cited launch brief, designs on-brand visuals from your real product, and drafts posts for every channel. Nothing goes out until you approve it.

The gap

Shipping happens by default.Launching happens by design.

The feature is live. The changelog is a commit message. The screenshot sits in Slack, and the post is a draft nobody approved. Users never hear about the work, so the work never pays you back.

Every release, by hand

  • Crop the screenshot, again
  • Hunt for the brand hex code
  • Write five versions of one announcement
  • Paste each into a different tool
  • Chase a teammate for sign-off
  • Hope nothing claims what the product cannot do

Every release, with Screenshot Studio

  • Describe the release once, or let GitHub send it
  • Check a brief where every claim cites a source
  • Approve a plan for every channel
  • Review real screenshots, framed on brand
  • Approve seven posts in one click
  • Ship on schedule, with a receipt

Workflow

One release in.A reviewed launch out.

Screenshot Studio runs the launch the way a good team would: understand the change, agree on a plan, make the assets, check the work, then ship it. You approve each stage.

    Check a cited brief

Approval

Machines draft.People decide.

Approval is a state machine on the server, not a checkbox in the UI. The same rules run for the browser, the API, and every agent. An API key can create a release. It cannot approve a post.

Publishing

Scheduled once.Published exactly once.

Approved posts run on durable workflows. At send time each post is checked again: approval, asset, workspace, destination. It is marked published only when the network returns a receipt. An uncertain delivery goes to a person, never back into the queue.

Guardrails

Sources are evidence.Never instructions.

Release notes, pull requests, and web pages can carry instructions aimed at an AI. Every source is cleaned, fenced, and flagged before a model reads it, and every output is checked before it is saved.

  • <source id="S2" trust="untrusted">

    Prompt-injection defense

Scripts, hidden text, and zero-width characters are stripped. Text that reads like orders to an AI is flagged and shown to the reviewer.

  • redirect hop → resolve → public? yes

    SSRF-safe fetching

Public http(s) only. Every resolved address is checked, every redirect re-checked, and every response capped in size and time.

  • proofPoints.2 → openQuestions.0

    Citations enforced

A claim that cites nothing, or a source that does not exist, is removed and turned into an open question.

  • x: 291 > 280 · rewrite

    Copy guards

Channel limits, hype words, your prohibited terms, unknown links, and uncited claims are rejected. The model gets the reason and fixes the post.

  • tools: [] · workspace: session

    Stages without side effects

Stages that read sources cannot act. The workspace comes from your session, never from model output or a crawled page.

  • launch.spec · model · tokens

    Metered and audited

Each model call is charged AI credits for what it costs, is rate-limited per workspace, and writes an audit event with the model and usage.

Security

Ready for the security review.Every control, documented.

Built on Better Auth organizations with one authorization path for every request. Each control below is documented in the repository, down to the database role.

  • SSO and SCIM

SAML and OIDC single sign-on, SCIM provisioning and deprovisioning.

  • Six fixed roles

Owner, admin, creator, approver, publisher, viewer. Least privilege by default.

  • Append-only audit log

The app can insert and read audit rows, never edit or delete them. IPs are hashed.

  • SIEM drains

Signed CloudEvents to any endpoint, or presets for Splunk and Datadog.

  • Retention and legal hold

Ninety days by default. Longer retention and legal hold on Enterprise.

  • Private storage

Files namespaced per organization. Signed URLs expire in two minutes. Uploads are write-once.

  • Two-factor

TOTP, required to connect social channels and to configure SSO.

  • Tenant isolation

Tenancy comes from the signed-in principal, never from input. Foreign IDs return 404, proven by a two-tenant test.

  • Self-hosting

Docker images and a Helm chart in the open-source repository.

Extra launch $29

500 AI credits, about one launch, on any plan. They are spent after the monthly allowance and do not expire.

Launch intelligence is in early access for design partners on any plan. One AI credit is one cent of model cost: every model call is charged what it costs, a launch uses about 430, and a workspace out of credits is refused before the next call.

Questions

Anything else? Talk to us.

What is Screenshot Studio?
A launch platform for software teams. You describe a release, or send it from GitHub. It drafts a cited brief, plans the campaign, designs visuals from your real product, and writes channel-ready posts. You approve before anything goes out. Underneath sits the open-source screenshot editor, which stays free.
Will it ever post without me?
No. Approval is enforced on the server. Agents and API keys can create drafts. Only signed-in members move posts to review, only members with approval rights can approve, and only approved posts can be scheduled.
Where do the screenshots come from?
Your live product. The capture tool photographs the product URL and the release source links, then composes the result in the editor with your brand kit. Pages behind a login are not supported yet.
How does it avoid making things up?
Every claim in the 11-section spec cites the brief or a source. A claim with no source is removed and becomes an open question for you. Posts may only cite claims the spec contains, and posts that break that rule are rejected.
Which channels does it cover?
Copy for X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Product Hunt, your changelog, and email. Scheduled delivery to X, LinkedIn, and Instagram is in early access, and channel connections are set up with you.
Can I edit what it makes?
Yes. Edit copy inline, open any visual in the full editor, or ask for a revision and apply it from a diff. Nothing you approved changes on its own.
Do you train models on my content?
No. Screenshot Studio learns your taste by retrieving your own workspace history at generation time: approved posts, rejected posts with notes, and applied revisions. Nothing is shared across workspaces.
Is the editor still free and open source?
Yes. The editor is Apache 2.0 licensed, available on a free workspace plan, and exports carry no watermark.

Your next releaseis your next launch.
